Wordie Place 🧩

A daily word puzzle, a placing variant of Wordie Grid. Eight five letter words were chosen, their middle letters kept, and both of their ends snipped off into sixteen two letter tiles.

Put a tile back on each end of every line, so that all eight lines spell words. A tile can go on either end of any line, so which end it was cut from is part of the puzzle.

You do not have to find the eight words the puzzle was built from. Any eight words will do, and there is usually more than one way.

Click a tile, then click the end of a line to put it there. Click a tile already on a line to send it back. A finished line turns green if it spells a word and red if it does not.

Every puzzle has a name, shown in the heading below: today's is the date, and a random puzzle gets a number. Type a name in to play that exact puzzle, which is also how you set a friend the same one.

Tiles

— mark each tile with the end it was cut from, so GR- started a word and -IN finished one. That is one solution, mind, not the only one.
